Tjukurrpa meaning “the dreaming” or “the dreamtime” are the stories, passed down from generation to generation, by Aboriginal people in Central Australia. Each painting is a unique expression of these stories and may depict such things as the significance of important ceremonies or native flora and fauna. Tjukurrpa educates and provides insight into the Aboriginal culture in Central Australia.
